Croeso cynnes i Ysgol Y Ferch O’r Sgêr, ysgol gynradd sy’n ymfalchio mewn darparu amgylchedd cynnes, croesawgar, a chefnogol i bob plentyn. Mae perthnasoedd cadarnhaol a lles ein disgyblion yn ganolog i bopeth a wnawn gan sicrhau bod pob plentyn yn teimlo’n ddiogel, yn werthfawr, ac yn cael y gefnogaeth briodol i ddatblygu i’w llawn potensial. Mae ein hysgol yn gymuned lle mae amrywiaeth yn cael ei ddathlu, ac mae pob plentyn yn cael ei annog i dyfu’n academaidd, yn gymdeithasol ac yn emosiynol.

Rydym yn falch iawn o fod yn ysgol gyfrwng Cymraeg sy’n rhoi’r cyfle unigryw i’n disgyblion datblygu’n ddysgwyr dwyieithog a chael y gorau o’r ddau fyd. Mae ein disgyblion yn datblygu rhuglder yn y Gymraeg a’r Saesneg ac yn derbyn darpariaeth i ddatblygu sylfaen ddiwylliannol gadarn, gan feithrin gwerthfawrogiad o dreftadaeth gyfoethog Cymru ac ymdeimlad cryf o hunaniaeth mewn cymdeithas amrywiol ac eangfrydig.

Mae ein cenhadaeth, “Meithrin, Ysbrydoli, Dyheu,” yn sail i bopeth a wnawn. Credwn mewn meithrin cryfderau unigryw ein disgyblion, eu hysbrydoli i fod yn ddysgwyr chwilfrydig, a’u hannog i anelu at eu dyheadau. Mae’r egwyddorion yma yn ein harwain wrth i ni weithio tuag at wireddu Pedwar Diben y Cwricwlwm i Gymru, gan baratoi ein disgyblion i fod yn:

1. Ddysgwyr uchelgeisiol, galluog sy’n awyddus i ddysgu a datblygu sgiliau gydol oes.

2. Gyfranwyr mentrus, creadigol sy’n barod i wneud cyfraniad cadarnhaol i’w cymuned ac ymhellach.

3. Ddinasyddion moesegol, gwybodus sy’n parchu’r iaith Gymraeg, diwylliant Cymru a’r byd ehangach.

4. Unigolion iach, hyderus sy’n barod i wynebu heriau’r dyfodol.

Rydym yn creu cymuned ysgol lle mae gofal a pharch yn ganolog, lle mae pob plentyn yn cael ei feithrin i deimlo’n rhan o’r teulu ysgol ac yn cael y cyfle i ffynnu. Mae ein hymrwymiad i les a pherthnasoedd cadarnhaol yn sicrhau y bydd ein disgyblion yn datblygu sgiliau bywyd sy’n eu paratoi ar gyfer y dyfodol.

Croeso! A very warm welcome to Ysgol Y Ferch O'r Sgêr. We are a Welsh medium primary school that prides itself on providing a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment for all children. Positive relationships and the wellbeing of our pupils are central to everything we do, ensuring that every child feels safe, valued, and properly supported to develop to their full potential. Our school is a place where diversity is celebrated, and all children are encouraged to grow academically, socially and emotionally.

We are very proud to be a Welsh medium school that gives our pupils the unique opportunity to develop into bilingual learners and get the best of both worlds. Our pupils develop fluency in Welsh and English and receive provision to develop a solid cultural foundation, fostering an appreciation for the rich heritage of Wales and a strong sense of identity in a diverse and outward-looking society.

Our mission, "Nurture, Inspire, Aspire," underpins everything we do. We believe in nurturing the unique strengths of our pupils, inspiring them to become curious learners, and encouraging them to achieve their aspirations. These principles guide us as we work towards realising the Four Purposes of the Curriculum for Wales, preparing our pupils to be:
